Ekta Bahl, Partner at Tatva Legal, will be joining Samvad Partners to set up the firm’s Hyderabad office.

She will be joining the firm from April 1, 2016 taking the total number of partners at the firm to 10.

A graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Ekta was previously working at Hyderabad, specialising in corporate and commercial laws, with specific focus on corporate restructuring, project finance, private equity and M&A.

On her decision to join Samvad, Ekta Bahl said

“I’ve had six wonderful years at Tatva Legal. Our association goes beyond these six years and will continue to do so. But, I think the time is right to take on new challenges and explore new avenues with Samvad. I look forward to an exciting time in my new role.”

Bahl’s hire comes at a time when there have been some changes at the firm’s senior management. Last year, the firm had promoted two of its senior associates Ashwini Vittalachar and Apurva Jayant to partnership in Delhi and Mumbai respectively.
