Trust Legal founder Sudhir Mishra called to No5 Barristers Chambers in London as Door Tenant

A prominent lawyer in the field of environmental litigation, Mishra has filed close to 45 public interest litigations.

Founder and Managing Partner of Trust Legal Sudhir Mishra has been called to No5 Barristers Chambers in the United Kingdom as a Door Tenant.

Mishra is an alumnus of Campus Law Centre, Delhi University. In 2005, he was picked for the International Visitors Leadership Program of the United States government.

A prominent lawyer in the field of environmental litigation, Mishra has filed close to 45 public interest litigations, the latest being the one related to air pollution in Delhi, currently pending before the Supreme Court.

Speaking on the development Queen’s Counsel and head of the Business and Property Group at No5 Chambers Mohammed Zaman said in a press release,

“We are really pleased that Sudhir Mishra has joined No5 Chambers as a door tenant. We look forward to seeing him more frequently in London and in enhancing co-operation in the provision of legal services in our closely connected jurisdictions.”

Founded over 100 years ago, No5 Chambers has grown to over 250 barristers, including 31 silks. It provides a nationwide service from its offices in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Leicester.

Mishra joins a number of Indian lawyers who have been called to chambers in the UK over the last few year.

Most recently, Senior Advocate Arvind Nayar was called to 4 New Square, and Sherbir Panag was called to White Collar Crime setup Foundry Chambers.

Last year, Senior Advocate Ritin Rai accepted an offer to join 7 King’s Bench Walk Barristers in London. In March 2019, former AZB and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Percival Billimoria was admitted as a Door Tenant at Outer Temple Chambers.

In June 2018, Swathi Sukumar was made Door Tenant at Hogarth Chambers. In September, Abhimanyu Bhandari was invited to join 4 Pump Court as an Associate Member.

In 2016, Senior Advocate Gaurav Pachnanda joined Fountain Court Chambers, London as a Door Tenant. That same year, Pulkit Deora was called to Enterprise Chambers. In August 2014, Nakul Dewan was invited to join 20 Essex Street. A few months later, ASG and Senior Advocate Gourab Banerji joined Essex Court Chambers.

In 2012, former Assistant Profesor at Jindal Global Law School, Vishavjeet Chaudhary, was invited to join Lamb Building in London

Former Solicitor General Gopal Subramanium is a member of 3 Verulam Building, while leading Senior Counsel Harish Salve is a member of Blackstone Chambers.
