Two Additional Judges appointed to Jharkhand High Court [Read Notification]

The Central Government has notified the appointment of two advocates as additional judges to the Jharkhand High Court. The notification issued yesterday intimates the appointment of Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi and Deepak Roshan to the Jharkhand High Court Bench for a period of two years from the date of assumption of office.

The appointment has been made pursuant to a Supreme Court Collegium recommendation made last December, following a High Court Collegium recommendation made to this effect last May.

The Government notification issued accordingly states,

“In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (i) Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, and (ii) Deepak Roshan, to be Additional Judges of the Jharkhand High Court, in that order of seniority, for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”
