Westlaw SILF Cricket League: Hammurabi & Solomon, SS Rana and Karanjawala emerge victorious

Legal resource website Westlaw, and the Society of Law Firms (SILF) recently organized the annual Westlaw SILF Cricket League. The event saw the participation of 20 law firms across Delhi.

The finals took place on February 22 at the Hamdard University. The top 6 teams from the group stage contested for the 3 trophies – Cup League, Plate League and Bowl League.

Hammurabi & Solomon and Titus & Co. fought for the top prize – the Cup League. Hammurabi & Solomon lifted the Cup League defeating Titus & Co. by 35 runs. Jitendra Kumar of Hammurabi was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all round performance. He also walked away with the Man of the Tournament award. 

SS Rana defeated Khaitan Sud & Partners in the Plate League finals. Khaitan Sud was able to muster only 70 runs, which was overhauled by SS Rana in 5.5 overs for the loss of just 1 wicket. 

Daman Ahuja from SS Rana was man of the match while Mohsin Khan was the best bowler. Khaitan Sud Partner Tanuj Sud was declared man of the tournament.

In the Bowl League Finals, Karanjawala & Co. defeated S&R Associates by 4 runs. Samarjit Patnaik was declared man of the match.

The prize distribution was attended by Senior Counsel Lalit Bhasin and Arvind Pachhapur, Country Head, Legal & Head of Strategy for Thomson Reuters.
