White & Case has recently announced 18 partner promotions worldwide including that of Senior Associate Mukund Dhar in London. The firm has promoted 5 lawyers in its London office including Mukund Dhar.

The promotion is effective from January 1, 2014. Mukund will relocate to the firm’s Johannesburg office in January 2014, according to the firm’s press release.

Mukund is part of the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance Group in London. He is dual qualified to practice in England & Wales and India. His practice focuses on power, oil and gas and mining and metals.

He is a graduate of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and started his career with Amarchand Mangaldas. He worked at Amarchand Mangaldas for close to three years before moving to London to join White & Case in 2007.

The other four newly promoted Partners in London are Rob Bennett and Ingrid York in Banking and Jill Concannon and Gareth Eagles in Capital Markets.
