IDIA Scholar Development Team: Call for members and consultants [Apply by April 30]

With an aim to transform its trainees into community leaders and leading lawyers who are Creative, Holistic, Altruistic, and Maverick Problem Solvers (CHAMPS), Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) has come up with a Scholar Development Program.

This program provides its scholars rigorous mentorship, specialized leadership, and soft skills training, as well as access to various other opportunities that enable their overall development.

In this backdrop, IDIA has invited applications for members and consultants.

These are unpaid and voluntary positions.

The two positions are:

  • Members: Members will work closely with the Scholar Development Director-in-charge at IDIA. Members will be required to lead various sub-teams at IDIA for organizing and coordinating projects, programs, and assignments advancing scholar development. Members will also be required to partake in planning and structuring the programs to be undertaken.

  • Consultants: Consultants will be required to give their inputs to the IDIA Scholar Development Vertical on the projects, programs, and assignments that would benefit IDIA scholars. The consultants will also be responsible to find and work out ways to further develop the vertical.

The minimum qualifications for the posts are the following:

Members: The applicants shall be law students who will graduate in 2022 or 2023. The applicants should be able to volunteer 4-6 hours a week.

Consultants: The applicants should be graduates in law or any other allied disciplines. The applicants should be able to volunteer 3-4 hours a week.

The applicants can be located anywhere and work from their respective locations while standard remote working protocols apply.
