Bar & Bench

The PRS Legislative Research initiative is having its fourth annual legislative analysis completion “ANALYSIS 2010”. This year the competition which is open to law and post-graduate students from all over India asks students to analyse either The Regulatory Reforms Bill, 2010 or The National Identification Authority of India Bill, 2010.

The competition requires participants to submit a three page analysis such that it should cater to a discerning individual with no background of the particular subject.  The competition offers a total prize money

of Rs. 60,000 (approximately $1,300). The winner will get Rs. 25,000 (approximately $530) while the 2nd and 3rd place winners will get Rs. 20,000 (approximately $430) and Rs. 15,000 (approximately $330) respectively.

Anuridh Burman from the PRS told Bar & Bench that the competition was “basically for foresting interest in public policy amongst students in India.”

The deadline for entries is September 5, 2010 and the winners will be announced later that month. All entries should be sent to in a Microsoft Word format.
