The Centre for Justice, Law, and Society (CJLS) is a multidisciplinary research centre at the Jindal Global Law School that critically engages with contemporary issues at the intersection of law, justice, society and marginalization in South Asia.

The CJLS is a collaborative endeavour of a group of scholars, activists and students who are engaged in high quality empirical and theoretical research.

The Centre for Justice, Law and Society is delighted to invite you to a workshop on Sexual Harassment at the Workplace and Maternity Benefits Law in India. It will be held on Wednesday, March 24th from 10.40 am - 12.30 pm over zoom.

The workshop will be conducted by Esha Shekhar and Neha Koshy, who have recently authored a book titled, "Understanding Workplace laws for women in India" published by Bloomsbury Publishing India and Bloomsbury Professional India.

Presenters

Esha Shekhar is an independent corporate counsel based in New Delhi. She specializes in implementing anti-sexual harassment at workplace law at workplaces. She has conducted training sessions, provided advisory services including as an external member and conducting investigations, under POSH Act, 2013 at more than 50 organisations across the country.

Neha Koshy is an in-house lawyer at OYO, based out of Gurgaon. As an in-house lawyer, she has worked with the Internal Complaints Committee of her organization and continuously advises the internal teams on matters relating to implementing Labour laws and organizational policies. She also operates a legal aid clinic in Bhondsi, Haryana to provide legal assistance to victims of sexual assault, harassment and domestic violence.

The book was written by combining the presenters' in-house lawyering experience and work around POSH and maternity benefits, to help organisations to effectively implement law for women at workplaces.
