Inter University Centre for Intellectual Property Rights Studies (IUCIPRS) at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) will be holding the 4th edition of its Annual Refresher Course on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for law teachers.
This seven-day training programme on Developmental Perspectives of IPR will be held from June 22 to June 29.
CUSAT has been conducting various programmes on IP laws so as to create awareness among students and faculty. One among those is the “Refresher Course for Law Teachers”
The programme started in 2015 focusing on various forms of IPRs. It was followed by “Patent Law and Development” in 2016 and “Copyright: A Social Justice Perspective” in 2017.
This year the theme of the programme is “Collective Forms of IP”.
According to the organisers, the purpose behind this theme is to look at the shift in the concept of property in IP in terms of ownership and management of rights, which has been diversified from individual rights to collective rights.
