Institute of Law Nirma University wins Manipal Law School Moot Court competition

The team from Institute of Law Nirma University comprising Vansh Ved, Harshvardhan Singh Rathore and Devang Dwivedi won the 1st edition of the Dr TMA Pai International Technology Arbitration Moot 2024 organized by Manipal Law School held on March 30 and 31.

The winners were awarded a cash prize of ₹1,50,000/-. Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (SVKM's NMIMS) Kirit P Mehta School of Law were the runners up of the competition and received a cash prize of ₹50,000/-

Gopal Aryan from Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Nagpur won the best researcher award while Devanshi Shukla from Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU), Aurangabad won the Best Speaker award. Itminan Monir Basilis, Md Monirul Islam Hridoy, Ismeta Azim  from the University of Chittagong Bangladesh were awarded the Best Memorial award. The teams debated on the theme ‘intersection of technology and international arbitration law’.

Manipal Law School also inaugurated its Moot Court Hall in the honour of Justice MN Venkatachaliah, Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India in the presence of Dr. Ranjan Pai, President, MAHE Trust, Lt. Gen. (Dr.) MD Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor, MAHE, Prof. (Dr) Madhu Veeraraghavan, Pro- Vice Chancellor, MAHE Bengaluru, Dr. Raghavendra Prabhu P, Deputy Registrar, MAHE Bengaluru, Dr. Avinash Dadhich, Director, Manipal Law School and the entire Manipal Law School Team. Justice MN Venkatachaliah graced the occasion virtually.

Proud of the initiative, Dr. Ranjan Pai, President, MAHE Trust, said,

Additionally, Manipal Law School also launched its latest LL.M programme on International Investment and Commercial Arbitration during the valedictory ceremony. The programme will be offered in both offline and blended mode offering prospective students a more flexible approach to education from August 2024.
