Know your Campus Ambassador: Anurag Tiwary, DSNLU

Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Anurag Tiwary, a fourth-year law student at the Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

(Edited excerpts)

Why did you choose to study law?

I was always fascinated by how lawyers could use law as an instrument to transform public policy by setting societal standards both inside and outside the courtrooms.

I chose law for that sole reason that I could play a role in contributing to the dynamism and the rich history that this profession has always stood for.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

I have always believed in a free flow of information that concern general public and citizens across the country without any bias and backlash. Bar and Bench furthers that goal and that became my single point motivation to apply for the Campus Ambassador post.

What are your plans after completing law?

I like to take it as it comes. However, on principles, I would like to work in an environment that helps me fulfil my dream to use my scholarship in law as an instrument to transform people's lives.
