Know Your Campus Ambassador: Shubham Gupta, Chandigarh University

Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Shubham Gupta, a third-year student of law at Chandigarh University.

Why did you choose to study law?

From the very early age I have keen interest in Politics and policy making which gradually turns my attention towards Studying law and knowing more about our constitution. I decided to do graduation in law at 9th std because I have good critical thinking and speaking skills because of which Criminal Law major is point of attraction for me in Studying Law.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

As we know that Bar & Bench is India’s best online legal news platform, it is great pleasure for me to be the campus ambassador because it gives me lot of exposure and opportunities. Here I get to interact with my peers from other Law institution which is a great source of network building which is essential part of legal career.

What are your plans after completing law?

From the school time I dreamed to become a judge by clearing exam of lower judiciary. But, after entering law school and interning in different places, I have decided to invest few years in litigation and then hopefully be elevated to the High Court.
