The Socio-Legal Review (SLR) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and the Indian Journal of Law & Society for the National University of Judicial Sciences, Kolkata have both called for papers. These journals focus on the nature of the link between law and society and hope to fill the gap that exists in relating to academic debate regarding Socio-Legal matters.
Vatsala Sahay the Chief Editor of the Socio Legal Review told Bar & Bench that, “The Aim of the SLR is to improve the quality of Socio Legal writing in India, while we accept submissions from across the world; South Asia centric articles are appreciated.”
The SLR is now in its 7th Edition and has previously carried articles by luminaries such as Roger Cotteerel. The Journal of Indian Law and Society is presently its second edition and is a bi-annual publication. Both journals have eminent luminaries on their advisory and editorial board.
The submission date for the Socio-Legal Review is November 30, 2010 and the Indian Journal of Law and Society is October 5, 2010.
