RGNUL’s International Conference on “Victim Compensation and Restorative Justice”

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Human Rights (CASIHR), RGNUL Punjab in collaboration with Institute of Correctional Administration, Chandigarh is organising the International Conference on “Victim Compensation and Restorative Justice” as well as the National Bill Drafting Competition on Victim Compensation.


A National Bill Drafting Competition is being organized wherein participants will be required to draft a bill on victim compensation.

The word limit for the Bill is 4,000-5,000 words (excluding footnotes).

The  bill should be sent to by October 15, 2015


The word limit for the abstract is 300-350 words and for the full paper is 4,000 words (excluding footnotes).

Papers can be submitted on the following themes:

  • Compensating and Rehabilitating Rape Victims
  • Legislative Framework, Role of Judiciary and NGO’s
  • Plea Bargaining
  • Restorative Justice and Weaker Sections
  • Rights of Victims vis-à-vis offenders
  • Punishments and Restorative Justice
  • Constitutional Approach to Rehabilitation and Restoration
  • International Perspective to Victim Compensation The abstracts and papers should be sent to by October 10, 2015.
