AZB Delhi Capital Markets Partner Meera Singh resigns

AZB & Partners Delhi Capital Markets Partner Meera Singh has recently resigned from the firm.

AZB Managing Partner Ajay Bahl confirmed that Meera Singh has resigned and said, “Meera is leaving us for personal reasons.”

“She continues to be a valued colleague and a dear friend just not for me but for a number of people in the firm. She will also continue to be available to us for matters as and when needed”, added Ajay Bahl.

Meera, who is a graduate of Campus Law Centre, has almost 20 years of experience. She initially joined New Delhi Law Offices and  worked there for almost seven years before moving to Ajay Bahl & Co. in 2001, which later became AZB & Partners from April 1, 2004.

She was heading the firm’s Capital Markets team in Delhi and has represented various Indian companies and lead managers on numerous capital markets transactions.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, Meera said, “I am leaving for personal reasons and will work independently which will give me a lot more flexibility”, although she adds, “I will be available to work with the firm as and when needed on assignment basis.”

Talking about her experience at AZB, Meera said,

“It has been a wonderful 13 years at AZB and you feel like its your own place. Mr. Bahl has been very supportive of my decision.”
