Indus, Cyril Amarchand, Luthra, Themis, Trilegal lead on Softbank’s $100m investment in OYO Rooms

Japanese conglomerate SoftBank has led a $100 million (630 crore) investment in hotel aggregator OYO Rooms with existing investors – DSG Consumer Partners, Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed India.

IndusLaw advised OYO Rooms, with a team led by Partner Avimukt Dar along with Associates Nitin Gera and Nikita Goyal.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas acted as domestic legal counsel for Softbank with a team led by Mumbai Partners Ashwath Rau and Shishir Vayttaden. Partner SR Patnaik advised on tax issues.

Morrison & Foerster HongKong acted as international counsel for SoftBank with a team led by Partner Amit Kataria.

Luthra & Luthra acted for Lightspeed Venture Partners with a team led by Partner Deepak Joyce along with Managing Associate Anshul Jain and Associate Trisha Singhvi.

Trilegal advised DSG Consumer Partners with a team led by Mumbai Partner Amit Tambe while Themis Associates acted for Sequoia through Principal Associate Ashwani Verma and Senior Associate Dheeraj Khanna.
