JSA advises Baashyaam Group on ~₹1,200 crore acquisition of Haddows Road

Baashyaam Group has acquired Haddows Road property, spanning more than five acres located at Nungambakkam, Chennai, from Standard Chartered Bank’s subsidiary Standard Chartered Global Business Services Private Limited, for approximately ₹1,200 crore.

JSA Advocates & Solicitors advised Baashyaam Group on this transaction. The mandate involved an extensive title due diligence exercise, as well as regulatory aspects, since the property was historically held by a banking company based in England. JSA further supported the client in transaction documentation and advisory, and comprehensive support through to closing.

The transaction team was led by Varun Sriram (Partner) and Aravind Raj (Partner), with support from Priyanka Ponna (Senior Associate).
