Khaitan & Co acts on Emversity $30 million Series A fundraise

Emversity (Beyond Odds Technologies Private Limited) has raised $30 million from a Series A fundraise led by Premji Invest, with participation from existing investors Lightspeed and Z47.

Khaitan & Co advised lead investor Premji Invest on this fundraise. The Firm’s role included undertaking the legal due diligence, regulatory advisory, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents.

The transaction team consisted of Sanjay Khan Nagra (Partner), B N Vivek (Partner), Vishakha Sharma (Principal Associate), Associates Prinson Pais, Aashik Kareem A and Bhuvan S, with assistance from the following:

Monika Srivastava (Partner), Sanchit Agarwal (Partner) and Romit Kohli (Associate) supported on advisory and structuring on education law related aspects. 

Vinay Joy (Partner), Srishti Ramkrishnan (Counsel), Shaaryl Dsouza (Associate) and Tanvi Uday Shetty (Associate) supported on advisory in relation to employment law related aspects.

Emversity is a skill development platform that collaborates with higher education institutions and employers to deliver education focused on industry-ready skills. It enables universities to provide programs aligned with real-world industry requirements, helping students gain practical and relevant training.

The funds raised will help the company expand to over 200 campuses and introduce new upskilling courses.
