Rajani Associates advises Beaufond Industries on Resolution Plan for Kobo Biotech

Rajani Associates advised Beaufond Industries Limited, the Successful Resolution Applicant, in relation to the resolution plan of Kobo Biotech Limited.

The resolution plan, valued at approximately ₹70 crore, was submitted to the Committee of Creditors on March 4, 2026, approved by the Committee of Creditors on March 17, 2026, and subsequently approved by the National Company Law Tribunal on May 11, 2026.

As part of the resolution process, Rajani Associates advised on the resolution plan and the composite scheme of amalgamation and arrangement. The approved resolution plan provides for the merger of Beaufond Industries with Kobo Biotech, the demerger of the API business into a separate entity, and the renaming of the surviving company as Beaufond Ltd.

The transaction team was led by Ashish Parwani (Senior Partner), and comprised Gitika Makhija (Principal Associate) and S Shivganesh (Principal Associate).
