More than a decade after the release of his book Before Memory Fades (published in 2010), where he expressed regret at winning the Second Judges case, which introduced the Collegium system, veteran Senior Advocate Fali Nariman says he harbours no such regret anymore.

He says,

“The Collegium system has a lot of drawbacks, there is no doubt about that...but I think the lesser evil is the Collegium system. I am not very happy with it, but it's like democracy - the best of all the worst systems."

In this interview with Bar & Bench's Pallavi Saluja, Nariman, one of the best legal minds in the country, speaks about the criticism against the Collegium system, how the Supreme Court has evolved and much more.
