Antares Legal has announced the appointment of Aniket Sengupta as a Partner, taking the firm's partnership strength to 14.
Sengupta is a 2000 alumnus of National Law School of India University, Bengaluru.
He has over 25 years of experience advising on a broad range of banking and finance matters, including aviation and project finance. He regularly advises leading domestic and international banks, financial institutions, borrowers and guarantors on complex financing transactions.
Sengupta's appointment strengthens Antares Legal's Banking & Finance practice across a broad range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including project and acquisition finance, structured and syndicated credit, intercreditor and security arrangements, external commercial borrowings, asset-based lending, securitisation and debt restructuring. His practice also complements the Firm's established capabilities in banking and insolvency disputes.
Prior to joining Antares Legal, Sengupta ran his own practice for over two years. Prior to that, he had spent two decades at Luthra and Luthra, exiting as an Equity Partner.
