Vishwang Desai, Managing Partner, Desai & Diwanji, said,
“The financial services landscape is undergoing a fundamental shift, with traditional banking increasingly converging with technology, digital platforms and new financial products. This convergence is creating a more complex legal and regulatory environment for institutions and businesses alike. Anubhav’s experience across leading financial institutions, coupled with his understanding of emerging financial services, will bring an important industry perspective to our Banking and Finance practice. His appointment reflects our continued focus on building deep sectoral capabilities that allow us to engage with the evolving needs of financial institutions and provide advice that is both legally rigorous and commercially informed.”
Mehta himself shared,
“Financial services in India are evolving rapidly, driven by digitalisation, new business models and changing regulatory expectations. This is creating opportunities for institutions to innovate, while also requiring greater clarity around governance, risk allocation and regulatory compliance. I am delighted to join Desai & Diwanji and look forward to contributing to the firm’s Banking and Finance practice by bringing an industry-oriented perspective to these developments. I hope to work closely with clients as they navigate the legal and commercial complexities accompanying the next phase of growth in India’s financial services ecosystem.”
