Khaitan Partner Renu Gopalakrishnan joins EssilorLuxottica as Head of Legal, India & South Asia

EssilorLuxottica has appointed Renu Gopalakrishnan as Head of Legal, India & South Asia.

Gopalakrishnan is a 2004 graduate of Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.

With over 22 years of experience, she has held positions in leading law firms as well as senior in-house roles in India and the UAE. Her expertise encompasses mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships and investments, restructuring, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance issues, along with cross-border structures and joint ventures.

Prior to joining EssilorLuxottica, Gopalakrishnan was a Partner at Khaitan & Co, where she advised boards, promoters, and management teams across India, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Her past tenures also include stints at Afridi & Angell, Trilegal, and Rajkotia Associates, where she worked on acquisitions, private equity deals, strategic mergers, joint ventures, asset transfers, legal due diligence, corporate affairs, and civil and commercial law matters.
