Khaitan's Swathy Ramanath joins Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas as Partner

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co has announced the appointment of Swathy Ramanath as a Partner in the Firm’s Infrastructure, Energy and Project Finance practice, in Bengaluru.

Ramanath is a 2011 alumna of National Law School of India University.

She has 15 years of experience advising on complex matters across the Projects, Infrastructure and Energy sectors. She has extensive experience in project contracts, concessions and bid processes, mergers & acquisitions and financing, and has advised on a wide range of transactions and assignments involving critical infrastructure assets.

Her practice spans power transmission, airports, conventional and renewable power, railways and allied infrastructure, as well as other critical infrastructure sectors. She has also advised clients on disputes relating to her areas of sectoral focus. Her experience also includes advising on the establishment and growth of Global Capability Centres (GCCs), giving her a broader understanding of the infrastructure, regulatory, commercial and transactional considerations relevant to businesses operating and expanding in India.

Prior to joining SAM, Ramanath was a Partner at Khaitan & Co, which she had joined in 2011 as an Associate and has now exited as a Partner.
