Saswat Mohanty joins Kochhar & Co as Partner in Capital Markets practice

Kochhar & Co has onboarded Saswat Mohanty as a Partner in the firm's Capital Markets and Securities Law practice, in Mumbai.

Mohanty is a 2014 graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Pune.

His practice encompasses equity capital markets, securities law and listed company advisory. His experience spans both private practice at leading law firms and an in-house legal role with the National Stock Exchange of India, where he advised on securities law and regulatory matters relating to listed entities. He has advised on numerous complex capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), follow-on offerings, rights issues, qualified institutions placements (QIPs) and preferential issues. His experience spans the entire transaction lifecycle, including the preparation and filing of offer documents, transaction structuring and documentation, legal due diligence, and regulatory compliance. He has acted across a diverse range of sectors, including aerospace and defence, e-commerce, financial services, food and beverage, gems & jewellery, healthcare, information technology, infrastructure and manufacturing, among others.

Prior to joining Kochhar & Co, Mohanty was a Partner Designate at Luthra and Luthra for over a year.
