CAM, Khaitan & Co act on Adani Ambuja Cement acquisition of Sanghi Industries

The acquisition was made for an enterprise value of ₹5,000 crores.

Ambuja Cements Ltd has acquired 56.74% controlling stake in Sanghi Industries Ltd (SIL) at an enterprise value of ₹5,000 crore. This transaction triggers a mandatory tender offer for an additional 26% stake in SIL.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas assisted Ambuja in this acquisition deal.

The transaction was headed by Ruetveij Pandya (Partner), Paridhi Adani (Partner) and Jeeta Nayak (Partner) with support from Principal Associate Abhilasha Malpani, and Associate Vishvas Bharadwaj.

The Competition Law advisory team was led by Avaantika Kakkar (Head Competition Law), Kirthi Srinivas, and Vijay Pratap Singh Chauhan, Partners.

Khaitan & Co acted for Sanghi Industries in this deal.
