Oon & Bazul rebrands as Bazul after Oon Thian Seng's exit to Cornerstone Law

Oon & Bazul LLC has rebranded to Bazul LLC as Oon Thian Seng has exited to join Cornerstone Law LLP as a consultant, effective October 1, 2026.

As Bazul LLC, the firm is exiting from tax, mergers and acquisitions, and other practices to focus on being a disputes-only firm. The Firm will continue to work on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, fraud and asset recovery spanning several jurisdictions.

As per the Firm's press release, it is stated,

"Bazul is a shorter name for a more focused firm. Our ambition is stated plainly: to become the largest independent disputes-only practice in Asia, and the firm clients turn to when the outcome cannot be left to chance. Independence is the point. We act for clients, not for institutions we cannot afford to sue."
