Trilegal advises Caelux Corporation on supplying energy-producing solar glass to Rayzon Solar, Navitas Solar

US-based Caelux Corporation has entered into separate framework agreements with Navitas Solar and Rayzon Solar for the supply of energy producing solar glass to manufacture hybrid tandem photovoltaic (PV) modules in India.

The transaction involved negotiation and execution of two five-year master supply agreements for the manufacturing of a combined 10 GW of PV modules with 28% efficiency in India. Under this arrangement, Caelux will provide its proprietary energy producing solar glass for integration into modules manufactured by Navitas Solar and Rayzon Solar, creating ultra-high efficiency PV modules. These partnerships will help India advance its 60% clean energy goal by 2035 with a local supply chain.

The transaction was led by Gautam Chabra (Partner), with support from Akshay Shandilya (Counsel) and Kunal Sharma (Associate).

These transactions bring together Caelux, a global leader in perovskite solar technology, with Navitas Solar and separately with Rayzon Solar to facilitate the commercialization of a combined 10 GW of next-generation advanced PV modules in India. The manufacturing combines two power-generation layers within a single module to increase energy output from the same installation footprint as compared to conventional silicon-only modules and is designed to achieve module efficiencies of up to 28%, with commercial deployment beginning in 2028.
