Rashtriya Raksha University is looking to hire Research Officers in Gujarat.

Job Description

Applications are invited for two Research Officer positions, as advertised herewith.

• For the first position, candidates should possess relevant educational qualifications and experience in public international law, along with a demonstrated interest in peacekeeping operations and accountability for crimes committed against peacekeepers.

• The second vacancy is intended for candidates possessing relevant educational qualifications and experience in the law of the sea, along with a demonstrated interest in deep seabed mining and the BBNJ Agreement.

Both vacancies offer an opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. by Publication. Subject to fulfilment of the applicable University rules and regulations, the selected candidates may be considered for admission to the Ph.D. by Publication programme under the supervision of Professor (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel in the following respective areas:

• Accountability for Crimes Committed against Peacekeepers, with particular reference to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2589 (2021).

• Law of the Sea, with a focus on deep seabed mining and the BBNJ Agreement.

Academic Qualification

Essential: Master’s degree in public international law or maritime law or any allied field related to above mentioned domains with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grade system is followed) in the concerned/relevant/allied subjects from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Experience

• Essential: Minimum 01 years of teaching experience/ research in equivalent cadre or relevant filed in any Government/International organization/Private or relevant Institute/Research institute.

• Publication: Minimum of 01 publications in an internationally reputed journal or UGC listed journals

Other Desirable

• National Eligibility Test (NET) in accordance with UGC Regulations or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC.

• Papers presented/published at Conferences and/or in reference journals.

• Ability to meet the timelines, prepare reports, papers on various assignments.

• Good knowledge of MSOffice.

• Ability to prepare reports/papers on various assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interdisciplinary research in the relevant areas;

• Provide research, training and extension assistance to the University;

• Scientifically analyze, visualize and interpret research data and prepare reports;

• Training Programs, Conferences, Workshops and Research work; Prepare prediction model based on data science tools for the better future decisions;

• Maintain confidentiality pertaining to all university information and comply with data protection legislation.

• Develop, plan, execute, monitor and report interdisciplinary research in collaboration with external universities, institutions, government departments, industrial and economic agencies, judiciary within India and abroad;

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the University/School Authorities in India and outside

Monthly Remuneration (Consolidated): ₹55,000/- to ₹70,000/-
