Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and highly competent Advocate with 5+ years of professional experience, specialising in banking/financial matters and criminal litigation.
The ideal candidate should have strong courtroom exposure, excellent legal drafting skills, and the ability to independently handle complex matters.
Preference will be given to candidates with an educational background from a reputed/renowned law institute and experience with established law firms, financial institutions, banks, NBFCs, or corporate legal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Handle litigation and legal matters relating to banking, finance, recovery, SARFAESI, DRT, NCLT and related proceedings.
Represent clients before High Courts, District Courts, DRTs, NCLT and other judicial/quasi-judicial forums, as applicable.
Handle criminal matters, including criminal complaints, bail matters, investigations, and related court proceedings.
Independently conduct hearings, prepare case strategies, and manage litigation.
Draft and review petitions, applications, written statements, replies, legal notices, complaints, appeals and other legal documents.
Conduct detailed legal research and provide practical legal opinions.
Coordinate with clients, senior advocates, investigators and other stakeholders.
Monitor case progress, court dates, filings and compliance requirements.
Maintain proper case records and provide timely updates on litigation status.
Assist in developing effective strategies for recovery, dispute resolution and litigation management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
LL.B./LL.M. from a reputed and recognized law institution.
5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience as an Advocate.
Strong specialization/exposure in Banking & Finance Litigation and Criminal Matters.
Excellent knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and court procedures.
Strong drafting, pleading, research and oral advocacy skills.
Demonstrated courtroom experience and ability to independently handle matters.
Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and work under deadlines.
Professional integrity, confidentiality and strong attention to detail.
Preferred Profile
Candidates from reputed law firms, banking/financial institutions, or established litigation practices will be preferred. Candidates who have graduated from renowned law schools/institutes and possess substantial courtroom exposure will have an added advantage.
