13th Annual Lawyers Football Championship set for November 22-23 at Bombay Gymkhana

The 13th Annual Lawyers Football Championship will be once again hosted at the Bombay Gymkhana, on 22nd and 23rd November 2025.

The 6-a-side tournament is an enthralling affair, awaited with baited anticipation by law firms and bar associations alike.

The last edition was by far the biggest in Lawyer's Cup history, with a whopping 48 teams (law firms/ bar associations ) in total, participating in the tournament - 45 men's teams and an astounding 24 women's teams, who took part in the Ladies Penalty Shootout.

Sponsored by Wadia Ghandy and Co, the tournament will be spread out over 2 days. Teams will be divided into groups. After the Round Robin stage which takes place on Saturday evening under floodlights, the top placed teams in each group go into Sunday's knock-out phase where they will play each other for the coveted Chief Justice Chagla Cup.

Similarly, the second placed teams from the groups will vie for the Wadia Ghandy Plate trophy whilst the third & fourth placed teams will slog it out for the Wadia Ghandy Bowl trophy.

This year teams from various state bar associations are expected to participate in the tournament.
