15th SILF Turf Cricket League: Cup Division pre-quarterfinals wrapped up

The knockout stages of the 15th edition of the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) Turf Cricket League have commenced, with all eight pre-quarterfinal matches in the Cup Division being played.

Following the conclusion of the league stage, the top two teams from each of the eight pools advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the Cup Division of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the bottom two teams from each pool earned their place in the pre-quarterfinals of the Plate Division.

Here is a recap of the eight Cup Division pre-quarterfinal matches played from November 18 onwards.

1. DSK Legal beat HSA by 13 runs.

Vardaan Wanchoo of DSK Legal was named Man of the Match, with Vijay Kumar of HSA being named the Fighter of the Match.

2. Trilegal beat Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas by 9 runs.

Ashish Bhan of Trilegal was named Man of the Match, with Amitpal of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas being named the Fighter of the Match.

3. Anand & Anand beat JSA by 105 runs.

Tanuj of Anand & Anand was named Man of the Match, with RD Shukla of JSA being named the Fighter of the Match.

4. S&A Law Offices beat Emerald Law by 8 wickets.

Jatin Kapoor of S&A Law Offices was named Man of the Match, with Keshav Kant of Emerald Law being named the Fighter of the Match.

5. Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan beat Kochhar & Co by 73 runs.

Anurag Kapur of Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan was named Man of the Match, with Prashant Bhatnagar of Kochhar & Co. being named the Fighter of the Match.

6. Saikrishna Associates beat Chandhiok & Mahajan by 84 runs.

Gagan Dargan of Saikrishna Associates was named Man of the Match, with Avinash Amarnath of Chandhiok & Mahajan being named the Fighter of the Match.

7. Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas beat Khaitan & Co by 83 runs.

Arpit Saini of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas was named Man of the Match, with Ratnil Chauhan of Khaitan & Co being named the Fighter of the Match

8. AZB beat Luthra & Luthra by 75 runs

Aman Raj of AZB was named Man of the Match, with Umang Sethi of Luthra & Luthra being named the Fighter of the Match.

Following the pre-quarterfinal showdowns, the road to the finals has become clearer.

The quarterfinal fixtures are as follows:

• Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan vs DSK Legal

• S&A Law Offices vs Anand & Anand

• Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas vs Saikrishna Associates

• Trilegal vs AZB

The tournament is set to culminate with the finals scheduled for December 16. Matches are being hosted at two venues: Modern School, Barakhamba Road, and the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Pitampura.

The tournament has Bar & Bench as its digital media partner, with sponsorship from the Ram Rattan Group and Hamdard Safi.
