2008 Bengaluru blasts: Supreme Court refuses Karnataka's request to retain public prosecutor in case of government change

A bench of Justices Ajay Rastogi and Bela M Trivedi was requested by Additional Advocate General Nikhil Goel to retain the public prosecutor in light of upcoming legislative assembly elections in the Karnataka.

The Karnataka government on Monday requested the Supreme Court to retain the public prosecutor in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts case, in which Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abdul Nasser Madani is the accused.
