

The Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu (JKHCBAJ), has been formally registered with the Registrar of Societies after 99 years of its establishment.
The announcement was made during a function held at the Bar Hall of the Jammu Wing of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of Chief Justice Arun Palli and Justices Sindhu Sharma, Rajneesh Oswal, Rahul Bharti, Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Rajesh Sekhri, Mohd Yousuf Wani and Shahzad Azeem.
Members described the registration as a historic achievement that would further strengthen the institutional framework and legacy of the Association.
The members particularly appreciated the contributions of President K Nirmal Kotwal, Vice President S Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal in securing the long-pending registration.
"Established nearly a century ago, the JKHCBAJ has played a pivotal role in representing the legal fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir, championing the cause of advocates and raising issues concerning the people of Jammu province," said a member.
