The employee last attended office earlier this week on May 19, Tuesday and has now been hospitalised. Sanitisation measures will commence tomorrow. In the meanwhile, no one will be permitted entry to the NGT premises
An officer posted in the General Administration section of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Principal Bench has tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
A notice issued to this effect on Friday intimates that the official had attended office earlier this week on Tuesday and that he has now been hospitalised.
The notice adds that all necessary protocols are being followed and that contact tracing is in progress.
Further, it is intimated that the premises of the NGT, Principal Bench at Delhi will remain under deep sanitization with effect from tomorrow (May 23). It is informed that "no officer/ staff/ lawyers/ litigants/ public shall be permitted to have access to the NGT (PB) premises."
Any further decisions in the matter will be taken as per advice of health authorities on May 25, the notice states.
