Advocates cannot get away with anything, law is same for all: Bombay High Court

The remark came while hearing a plea seeking a declaration that Sections 353 and 332 of the IPC, which deal with the offence of obstructing a public servant from doing his duty, should not be applicable to advocates.

The Bombay High Court on Thursday remarked that advocates cannot seek exemption or special protection from being charged for offences under law [Nitin Satpute v. State of Maharashtra & Ors.]
