Akila Agrawal joins CAM today as Equity Partner and Head of M&A Practice

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has appointed former Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Equity Partner Akila Agrawal as Equity Partner and Head of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice.

She resigned from Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in April this year.

Akila would be working closely with Reeba Chacko Partner & Head of firm’s Corporate practice and Nivedita Rao Partner & Deputy Head – Corporate practice.

Akila has over 19 years of experience in matters pertaining to mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, general corporate and employment law.

Akila joined erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas Delhi office in April 2002 and continued with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas thereafter. She has also worked with Wipro Limited, Bangalore as in-house counsel.

She is a 1999 graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore.

On her appointment, Managing Partner Cyril Shroff commented,
