Arrested ED officer Ankit Tiwari moves Madras High Court for bail in bribery case

Justice V Sivagnanam of the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court on Thursday directed the DVAC and the Tamil Nadu government to respond to Tiwari’s bail application by December 19.

Ankit Tiwari, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer, who was arrested last week by the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) after allegedly having been caught accepting a bribe of ₹20 lakh, has approached the Madras High Court seeking bail.
