AZB & Partners promotes 5 to partnership in Delhi and Mumbai

AZB & Partners has today promoted five of its Senior Associates to salaried partnership across its Delhi and Mumbai offices. The three newly promoted partners at the Delhi office are Nandita Govind, Rachit Bahl and Ritika Rathi. In the Mumbai office, Nandish Vyas and Nilanjana Singh have been promoted. The partnership is effective from June 1, 2013.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, Delhi Managing Partner Ajay Bahl said, “We are delighted. They are all outstanding professionals and super human beings and we look forward to their enhanced contribution to the firm in their new roles.”

Nandita and Ritika are graduates of Delhi University. Nandita joined AZB in January 2011 prior to which she was working with Amarchand Mangaldas. She worked at Amarchand for almost four years before moving to AZB. Prior to that she has also worked with Dua Associates.

Nandita is a transactional lawyer with a vast experience in M&A, private equity, capital markets and general corporate advisory.

Ritika started her career with AZB & Partners in 2004 and is part of the corporate team and focuses on M&A practice.

Rachit (pictured right), a graduate of Amity law School worked with British law firm Rouse & Co. in Dubai before joining AZB in 2007. His areas of practice include corporate advisory, JV and foreign investments, Information Technology and Intellectual Property.

Both Nandish (pictured left) and Nilanjana are part of the corporate M&A team in the Mumbai office. Nandish is a graduate of Government Law College, Mumbai. He was working at Federal & Rashmikant prior to joining AZB in 2006. His areas of focus are M&A and Private Equity.

Nilanjana is a graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore.  She completed her LLM from Columbia University in 2010 after which she moved back to India to rejoin AZB.

Last year, the firm had promoted Senior Associate Debashish Sankhari to partnership.
