Breaking: In House Committee clears CJI Ranjan Gogoi, says no substance in sexual harassment allegations

The three-judge committee constituted to probe the allegations of sexual harassment made by a former Supreme Court staffer against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has cleared him of the charges.

The committee has concluded that there is no substance in the allegations of the former employee of the Supreme Court.

As per the notice on the Supreme Court website, the committee submitted its report to the next senior judge competent to receive the report.

The in-house committee found no substance in the allegations contained in the complaint of the former employee of the Supreme Court, the notice states.

Further, the report of the committee will not be made public since as per the 2003 judgment in Indira Jaising v. Supreme Court of India, the report of a committee constituted as part of the in-house procedure is not liable to be made public, the notice states.
