The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the transfer of Gujarat High Court judge Justice Vipul M Pancholi to Patna High Court..The decision, which was taken at a Collegium meeting held on September 29, was published on the Supreme Court website on Monday."The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 29th September, 2022 has recommended transfer of Mr. Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, Judge, Gujarat High Court, to Patna High Court," the Collegium statement said..Justice Pancholi was born on May 28, 1968. He joined the Bar in September 1991 and started practice as an advocate in the Gujarat High Court.He was elevated as an additional judge of the Gujarat High Court October 1, 2014 and confirmed as permanent Judge on June 10, 2016..The transfer of another Gujarat High Court judge to Patna High Court has been embroiled in controversy.The Collegium had last week recommended the transfer of Justice Nikhil S Kariel to Patna High Court, after which the Gujarat bar has been on strike.
