The Central government on Thursday cleared the proposal to appoint two retired High Court judges and one sitting High Court judge as judicial members of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT). .The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in this regard. The three judges who have been appointed are:1. Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain (Retired judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court);2. Justice Rakesh Kumar (Retired judge of Patna High Court);3. Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy (Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court). Justice Murthy who is currently serving as High Court judge has a tenure at the High Court until June 13 this year. They will be eligible for a monthly salary of ₹2,25,000. The appointment will be for a period of 4 years or till they attain the age of 67 or until further orders whichever is earliest. .Besides three judicial members, the ACC has also cleared the appointment of following two technical members for NCLAT:- Barun Mitra (Retired Secretary, Department of Justice)- Naresh Salecha (Member Finance, Railway Board).
