The Central government has notified the appointment of Nine lawyers as Additional Judges of Allahabad High Court.
The nine new appointments are:
The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the names of 10 lawyers for elevation to the Bench of the Allahabad High Court, by a resolution passed on February 12, 2019. However, as per today’s notification out of those ten names, seven names have been notified – Vipin Chandra Dixit, Shekhar Kumar Yadav, Ravi Nath Tilhari, Deepak Verma, Gautam Chowdhary, Manish Kumar, and Samit Gopal.
Dinesh Pathak was recommended by the Collegium on April 30, 2019, while Shamim Ahmed’s name was recommended last year in September.
