Cine star Manju Warrier files defamation suit against filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan

A Kerala court on Saturday issued summons to filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, Meta and journalist Shajan Scaria in a defamation case filed by actress Manju Warrier [Manju Warrier v Sanal Kumar Sasidharan & ors].

Third Additional Munsiff (RCC) court Reeja R Nair heard the plea and asked the defendants to respond to the suit.

It will be heard next on November 5.

The suit was filed after Sashidharan made various statements on social media about Warrier.

Warrier had earlier approached the police accusing Sasidharan of stalking and harassing her and posting defamatory content about her on social media.

The plea has been moved by advocate Santhi M.
