
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended that additional judge Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee of Meghalaya High Court be made a permanent judge of that court.
The Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India BR Gavai and comprising Justices Surya Kant and Vikram Nath recommended the same in its meeting held on July 1.
"The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on 01st July, 2025 has recommended for appointment of Shri Justice Biswadeep Bhattacharjee, Additional Judge, as a Permanent Judge of the High Court of Meghalaya after converting the existing post of Additional Judge into the post of a Permanent Judge," the Collegium statement said.
