Exclusive: AZB Partner Anind Thomas, ELP Partner Ravisekhar Nair to launch Anagram Partners Bengaluru office

Anagram Partners is opening in Bangalore and has simultaneously onboarded Anind Thomas from AZB & Partners and Ravisekhar Nair from ELP as Partners, according to sources.

It is understood that both Thomas and Nair will bring few team members along with them.

Thomas is a 2003 alumnus of National Law School of India University. He has 23 years of expertise in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Data Protection and Dispute Resolution. He frequently advocates for his clients across various platforms, including the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, National Company Law Tribunals, as well as domestic and international arbitration tribunals. He was associated with AZB & Partners for over 15 years.

Nair is a 2005 alumnus of National Law Institute University, Bhopal. He earned his LL.M. in International Trade Laws & Dispute Resolution from The University of Queensland in 2007.

With two decades of expertise, Nair specialises in Competition Law as well as Data Privacy, Technology and AI Regulation. He represents clients from diverse industry sectors in investigations and proceedings before the Competition Commission of India, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, various High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. Additionally, he possesses extensive experience in providing general competition law advice, merger control guidance and competition compliance services to clients.

Nair was a member of the “Law Firm Working Group” established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to finalise merger regulations governing combinations in India. He has also worked closely with the CCI to establish various processes and procedures.

He was associated with Economic Laws Practice for the past 14 years. Prior to that, he spent 6 years at Luthra and Luthra.
