

Arpita Dutta has joined IndiaLaw LLP as a Partner, strengthening the firm’s Asia-Pacific and cross-border advisory capabilities across corporate law, labour and employment law, intellectual property, and foreign investment matters.
Dutta is a graduate of the University of Calcutta, and holds an MBA from Chang Gung University, Taiwan.
She has over a decade of international legal experience, having spent ten years with one of Taiwan’s oldest and most respected intellectual property law firms. During her tenure, she advised multinational corporations, investors, and businesses on a broad range of cross-border legal and regulatory matters, developing significant experience across key Asian jurisdictions, including Taiwan, Japan, China, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Her practice focuses on corporate advisory, labour and employment law, intellectual property, and foreign investment, with particular expertise in assisting multinational enterprises and international investors in navigating complex legal, regulatory, and commercial environments across jurisdictions. Her experience is further complemented by her association with the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA), which has provided her with valuable industry exposure in the manufacturing, electronics, and technology sectors.
