Chambers of Kartik Seth has inaugurated its new flagship office at Todarmal Road, New Delhi, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s expansion as well as 15 years of litigation practice by its founder, Kartik Seth.
The entrance to the new office features a sculpture titled “Self Made Man”, accompanied by the inscription:
“Persistence Is The Artist. Excellence Is Sculpted, Never Inherited.”
The installation reflects the firm’s foundational philosophy - built not on lineage, but on merit, preparation, and performance. The reception area anchors the firm’s identity in this ethos, presenting advocacy as a craft shaped over time.
Founder Kartik Seth hails from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh and is a first-generation lawyer. He began his legal career in an indirect tax law firm. Eventually, he expanded to constitutional and public law litigation before the Supreme Court.
He worked with former Union Law Minister and Senior Advocate Shanti Bhushan for nearly seven years, gaining exposure to landmark constitutional matters and public interest litigation.
Over the past 15 years, Seth has appeared in more than 19 High Courts across the country and has argued matters before seven Constitution Benches of the Supreme Court of India. The Chambers today represents multiple state governments, public sector undertakings, regulatory bodies, and public institutions, with a focus on constitutional law, regulatory disputes, commercial litigation and public law.
Speaking on the occasion, Seth stated,
“This office is not merely a physical expansion; it represents 15 years of my journey in litigation. Coming from Jabalpur as a first-generation lawyer, starting in indirect tax, learning constitutional law under Shanti Bhushan, and then building an independent practice, this space is meant to remind us every day that excellence is sculpted, never inherited. As we continue to represent State Governments and address complex constitutional questions, this office will serve as a centre for research, strategy, and growth across our offices in Delhi, Gurgaon, Jabalpur, and Jaipur.”
