DSK Legal makes 3 Partners and 1 Associate Partner

DSK Legal has promoted Associate Partners Avinash Kumar Khard, Parag Khandhar and Samit Shukla as Partners and Principal Associate Ekta Tyagi has been made Associate Partner.

With this round of promotions, the firm now has 24 Partners and 11 Associate Partners across its offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Pune.

Commenting on the promotions, Managing Partner, Anand Desai said,

Avinash Kumar Khard is in the firm’s Banking & Finance and Energy, Projects and Infrastructure team.

Khard is a 2009 graduate of ILS Law College, Pune and has significant experience in representing various private and public sector companies, banks and undertakings, foreign lenders, operation and acquisition of capital-intensive projects and facilities around Asia, Middle East and Africa.

He has previously worked with HSA Advocates and was with DSK Legal for close to 3 years before being elevated as Partner.

Parag Khandhar is a 2006 graduate from KC Law College and has rich experience in handling various kinds of dispute resolution matters, including corporate litigation, media litigation, domestic arbitrations, and quasi criminal matters, before various Courts/Tribunals across the country.

Khandhar has been with DSK Legal for over 10 years before being elevated as Partner.

Samit Shukla graduated in 2008 and has been with the firm for 9 years. He has rich experience in advising a host of clients across a wide range of commercial disputes, including relating to real estate, corporate, infrastructure, environment, securities and private equity.

Shukla has been involved in several high-profile corporate disputes, including leveraged buyout transactions & exits.

Ekta Tyagi is a 2007 graduate of Symbiosis Law School and joined DSK Legal in 2018 transitioning to disputes work after acquiring extensive corporate law experience from leading Indian law firms.

Tyagi advises on commercial litigation and pre-litigation strategy, and criminal law matters, including fraud investigations.
