Kirkland & Ellis Partner Erin Nealy Cox is set to join Walmart as Executive Vice President of Global Governance, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary..Cox earned her JD from SMU Dedman School of Law in 1995..Cox served as a Partner in Kirkland & Ellis' Government, Regulatory & Internal Investigations Practice Group. In the past, she had served as the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, where she chaired the AGAC — a group of 15 U.S. Attorneys selected by the Attorney General to advise on national priorities — and led the committee’s task force on domestic violence and firearms crimes.Her previous engagements also include being a Senior Advisor in McKinsey & Co.’s cybersecurity and risk practice, and an Executive Managing Director at cybersecurity and investigations consulting firm, Stroz Friedberg.
